Between Emptiness and Intention
Some designs want more.
More curve.
More detail.
More that lingers.
And some designs want less.
A single line.
A volume.
A moment of stillness.
Both can be right.
Both can touch.
Because what a space needs
is not defined by style –
but by intention.
Beauty Lies in Proportion
For a long time, I believed
that less was automatically better.
That restraint was a sign of maturity.
That only what matters would remain.
But sometimes,
when too much is missing,
the feeling disappears too.
Then there is no atmosphere.
Only emptiness.
Reduction is not a rule.
And richness is not a flaw.
It’s not about how much.
But: what carries weight?
Forms That Are Allowed to Speak
At Marvalet, we do not design for minimalism.
We design for sensuality.
For clarity that moves.
For shapes that hold atmosphere.
Curves that end softly.
Flutes that allow light to unfold.
Transitions that connect, not divide.
These forms do not shout.
But they speak.
Of gesture. Of gravity.
Of what remains.
What Truly Matters
When I design,
it’s not about reduction.
It’s about resonance.
Not about how little.
But about what’s right.
Sometimes one line is enough.
Sometimes a gesture is needed.
A detail that brings atmosphere.
A material that stirs something within us.
Perhaps this is the essence:
Not less.
Not more.
But something that lasts.
